Our Mind always assume favour of us

Yeterday i got one good lecturing from my manager.The moral of that lecturing is " Our mind is designedto assume favour of us. so don't assume always try to get clear picture". This 100% sure. I am feeling like that only.It is a good practice to avoid the assumptions.
